Why S3 Volleyball?
Since 2014, S3 Volleyball has proudly been Georgia’s longest-standing volleyball club devoted exclusively to the beach game. From day one, our mission has been simple: grow the sport of beach volleyball through intentional player development and share our passion for the game with every athlete who steps on the sand.
Beach volleyball isn’t just indoor volleyball played outside—it’s a completely different game that requires specialized training, strategy, and skill development. That’s where we come in. At S3, beach volleyball is all we do. Our coaching staff is 100% focused on the sand, never dividing time or resources between indoor and beach programs. While some clubs may offer beach training as an add-on to their indoor programs, beach volleyball is our sole focus. That means every drill, every practice, and every coaching decision is designed specifically to develop confident, skilled beach athletes.
Beach volleyball has been the fastest-growing NCAA sport in recent years, with collegiate opportunities expanding rapidly. When S3 was founded in 2014, there were about 40 collegiate beach volleyball programs nationwide. By 2022, that number had grown to approximately 175—and it continues to rise each year. The pathway to playing beyond high school is stronger than ever.

TOURNEY WINS
Our players get to experience a wide variety of events across the USA. They gain exposure to teams from across the country with varied competition styles. Our players have won major tournaments by USA Volleyball, Rox Volleyball, AAU and AVP.
S3 also competes in the Beach Volleyball Clubs of America (BVCA) tournament series and their Club vs Club Challenge series. We won two of the first four Club Challenge series tournaments- we competed against clubs from Texas, California, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, Florida and Washington State.
ACHIEVEMENTS
S3 Players have been competitive in national level events, bringing home several top 5 and top 10 finishes in all the major volleyball tours.
Our players brought home BEACH VOLLEYBALL NATIONAL TITLES including: USA Volleyball Beach Championship, AVP Beach Championship, AAU Beach Championship, and Rox National Championship.
NATIONAL BIDS
At S3, our year-round teams strive to earn bids to multiple national beach tournaments- USAV’s Junior Beach Tour National Championship, AAU’s West Coast Junior Olympic Games, and AVP America National Championships.
ALUMNI
We are proud and honored that our S3 staff has worked with players who have gone on to play beach volleyball in college. We have helped multiple players earn roster spots at South Carolina, LSU, Georgia State, Mercer, Florida State, Jacksonville University, UNF, EKU, Austin Peay, UAB, UTC, Stetson, College of Charleston, Berry College, Spring Hill College Pepperdine, Cal Poly, Cal Berkeley and Stanford.

our history
Beach volleyball in Atlanta has been on an incredible rise—and S3 is proud to be a big part of that growth. What began as a small start-up sand program in Northwest Atlanta with just a handful of athletes quickly gained momentum. By year two, players were training under a year-round club model, and the summer program had expanded to more than 100 athletes eager to learn and compete on the sand.
Under the leadership of Bryan Jones, Dave Woolsteen, and Kevin McClure, S3 has continued to elevate the standard of beach volleyball in Georgia—developing high-level athletes and helping many go on to compete at the collegiate level.
When S3 was founded in 2014, the club trained exclusively at Lakepoint Sport Complex in Emerson, GA. As the program grew, so did its footprint. In 2019, S3 expanded by building their own five dedicated beach courts at Badger Creek Park in Canton, GA.
By 2022, S3 secured additional premier training locations, including the beach facility at Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta, along with three more courts at Holy Spirit Preparatory School in Sandy Springs.
With multiple facilities across the Atlanta area, S3 now offers summer, fall, and year-round programs designed to meet athletes where they are—and take them where they want to go.
