Why S3 Volleyball?
We are the longest standing volleyball club in the state of Georgia dedicated only to the beach game. S3 Volleyball was founded in 2014, and ever since then we have had one goal to grow the game of beach volleyball through player development, and to pass our love for this sport on to others.
Learning the game of beach volleyball differs significantly from learning indoor volleyball. It takes specialized instruction, and at S3, we specialize in the beach game. Our coaching staff never has to split their time between beach and indoor because we focus only on beach. There may be some other clubs that may offer beach training, but those clubs are primarily indoor focused. They are constantly having to share their time and resources between their indoor players and their beach players, but at S3 beach volleyball is our only focus. If you want solid beach specific training, S3 is the place to be.
Beach volleyball has been the fastest growing NCAA sport over the last 5 years. Opportunities for players to play beyond high school are being added every year. If you look back at 2014, when S3 was founded there were around 40 beach volleyball programs. If you jump ahead to 2022 that number grew to approximately 175 collegiate beach volleyball programs. That number still continues to grow.

TOURNEY WINS
Our players get to experience a wide variety of events across the USA. They gain exposure to teams from across the country with varied competition styles. Our players have won major tournaments by USA Volleyball, Rox Volleyball, AAU and AVP.
S3 also competes in the Beach Volleyball Clubs of America (BVCA) tournament series and their Club vs Club Challenge series. We won two of the first four Club Challenge series tournaments- we competed against clubs from Texas, California, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, Florida and Washington State.
ACHIEVEMENTS
S3 Players have been competitive in national level events, bringing home several top 5 and top 10 finishes in all the major volleyball tours.
Our players brought home BEACH VOLLEYBALL NATIONAL TITLES including: USA Volleyball Beach Championship, AVP Beach Championship, AAU Beach Championship, and Rox National Championship.
NATIONAL BIDS
At S3, our year-round teams strive to earn bids to multiple national beach tournaments- USAV’s Junior Beach Tour National Championship, AAU’s West Coast Junior Olympic Games, and AVP America National Championships.
ALUMNI
We are proud and honored that our S3 staff has worked with players who have gone on to play beach volleyball in college. We have helped multiple players earn roster spots at South Carolina, LSU, Georgia State, Mercer, Florida State, Jacksonville University, Austin Peay, UAB, UTC, Stetson, College of Charleston, Berry College, Spring Hill College Pepperdine, Cal Poly, Cal Berkeley and Stanford.
We are proud to say our coaching staff has helped place more players on collegiate beach rosters than any other club in Georgia.
our history
Beach volleyball in Atlanta has been on a hot streak for several years. It began with a handful of players and a small, start-up sand volleyball program in NW Atlanta. The program grew quickly, and by year two, the first set of players participated under a year-round club concept, along with a summer program that included over 100 players wanting to learn sand volleyball. S3, under the direction of Bryan Jones, Dave Woolsteen and Kevin McClure, has continued to grow and produce amazing athletes with many of them now competing at the college level.
In 2014, when the club was founded, S3 operated solely out of Rally Volleyball, at the Lakepoint Sporting Community in Emerson, GA. However, in 2019 S3 expanded and built new courts at Badger Creek Park in Canton, GA. S3 now offers summer, fall and year-round programs out of both Rally & Badger Creek!
