Bryan Jones

Bryan brings 25+ years of playing and coaching experience to S3 volleyball. He has played at levels from A to AA to Open over the years all around the southeast, in both indoor as well as beach, but the beach game has become his passion.

Bryan began focusing more specifically on coaching the beach game in 2010. At that time he began running beach clinics and coaching pairs in local and travel tournaments. After a few years, and with the help of Kevin McClure and Dave Woolsteen, he founded S3 Volleyball in 2014. He has been focused on growing the beach game ever since. Under his leadership S3 has grown to a nationally recognized beach volleyball club. S3 competes in events from coast to coast and has numerous top 10 national finishes. S3 players have also taken home several national championship titles, including USA Volleyball, Rox, AVP and AAU.

In 2020 Bryan was hired to teach and be the new head coach at Etowah High School in Woodstock, GA. This is his second stint as a high school head coach. Before joining Etowah, Bryan was the head coach at Pope High School in Marietta, GA from 2002 to 2017. While at Pope, Jones lead the Greyhounds to 7 County Championships, 8 Region Championships, 6 trips to the State Final Four, 4 trips to the State Finals and 3 consecutive State Championships in 2009, 2010 & 2011. Jones was also named the Region Coach of the Year 8 times and the State Coach of the Year 3 times. He tallied 522 wins as Pope’s head coach. Before coaching at Pope Bryan was active in coaching with multiple travel volleyball clubs around the Atlanta area going back to 1995.

Bryan is married to his lovely wife Jenny. They have 3 children: Sydney, Jordyn and Bryce. When he’s not coaching volleyball Bryan can most of the time be found spending time with his wife and family or losing golf balls on the course! He is also active in supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation- his son Bryce was diagnosed with CF after his birth in 2008.
